After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Houston Academy, New Brockton was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bullock County Hornets as they made off with an 11-1 victory. Considering the Gamecocks have won seven contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Gavin Hand looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of New Brockton's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 7-8 when he doesn't).
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Bradyn Crumpler, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalton Rogers, who scored three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
