Mikayla Finn tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Delaney Osborne was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kate Brown 2026 was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and four RBI.
Del Oro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .615. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sheldon only posted an OBP of .391.
Del Oro pushed their record up to 28-1 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Sheldon, their defeat dropped their record down to 19-10-1.
Looking ahead, Del Oro will challenge Oak Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Golden Eagles 1.5, the Trojans 1.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Sheldon does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
