BASTROP, La. - 
Bastrop (La.) will rue a missed two-point conversation against 
Neville (Monroe, La.), as provided the difference in a 34-32 defeat.
The Rams pulled ahead on a 
Christian Doaty touchdown pass to 
Jamari Payne, and subsequently went into halftime leading 12-7. The Tigers took the lead for good with a touchdown run in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring 14 points in the third, Neville still trailed by three points going into the fourth quarter. But 12 points in the fourth helped NHS pull out the victory.
When the two teams played each other last season, the Monroe school came away with a 43-23 victory.
The loss was the third in a row for Bastrop.
Bastrop (2-6) will play a 4A District 2 game against Wossman next week, while Neville (8-0) will take on West Ouachita also in a 4A District 2 game.
