Falls Lake won the last time they faced East Wake Academy and things went their way on Monday too. The Firebirds were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over the Eagles. Considering the Firebirds have won seven games by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Wynterlee Glenn made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits (and only one walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two RBI.
In other batting news, Falls Lake got a big performance out of Jolie Sensenig, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That's the most doubles Sensenig has posted since back in March of 2024. Another player making a difference was Kayla Cash, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

East Wake Academy didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-5 win against Wake Christian Academy on the 29th. Hopefully Falls Lake paid attention to the Eagles' contest: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
