The Williston Red Devils will challenge the Branford Buccaneers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Williston is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against Winter Park on Friday as Williston made off with a 16-8 victory. Considering the Red Devils have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Emily Asencion was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base. She also put up an RBI, which was her first of the season.
In other batting news, Grace McDaniel was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four stolen bases, and four RBI. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Luna Asencion was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing Five bases. while going 2-for-5.
Williston hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Winter Park struck out 11 times.
Meanwhile, Branford came up short against Columbia on Monday and fell 14-10. The Buccaneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Cloey Criggall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs and stole Four bases. while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances. What's more, she posted two RBI, the most she's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Morgan Brennan, who scored a run while going 2-for-5.
Williston's win was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Branford, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Williston came up short against Branford in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, falling 8-5. Can Williston avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
