The Hayes Pacers's and the Olentangy Braves's game on Tuesday was close at halftime, but the Hayes Pacers turned on the heat in the second half with 45 points. Hayes put the hurt on Olentangy with a sharp 81-58 victory. The win was nothing new for Hayes as they're now sitting on six straight.
Despite the defeat, Olentangy had strong showings from Jay Agrawal, who scored 15 points along with two steals, and Carter Hire, who scored 16 points. Agrawal continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Ulysses Ponder, who scored 11 points along with five assists and five rebounds.
Olentangy struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hayes pushed their record up to 12-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 25.33 points. As for Olentangy, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.
Hayes will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Big Walnut at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th. Big Walnut knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine contests -- so hopefully Hayes likes a good challenge. As for Olentangy, they will be playing at home against Marysville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
