The Northern Durham Knights will challenge the Jordan Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northern Durham is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.
Northern Durham was handed a 12-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over Chapel Hill.
Sydney Woodside spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and six unearned) runs on four hits and racked up six Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Northern Durham let Lainey Stutts and Roxy Nelson run wild. Stutts went 2-for-4 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run, while Nelson went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those four RBI gave Stutts a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brynley Standifer, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Meanwhile, Jordan unfortunately witnessed the end of their eight-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Riverside-Durham by a score of 5-3. The match marked the Falcons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Kylie Specht made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Sydney Cornwell was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
Northern Durham's win bumped their record up to 5-13. As for Jordan, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 14-3.
