Jefferson City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 58-57 heartbreaker at the hands of Father Tolton. One positive for the Jays, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Jefferson City's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Father Tolton, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Jefferson City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Smith-Cotton at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025. Father Tolton also won't see the court for a while: their next matchup is against Richland at 7:00 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
