Record-setting high school quarterback
Kellen Moore of
Prosser was named the head coach of the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday.
The hire comes two days after the 36-year old helped the Philadelphia Eagles win Super Bowl LIX in his role as the offensive coordinator. He becomes the youngest head coach in the NFL.
Moore began his football career as a quarterback at Prosser in the Class of 2007. He played for his father Tom Moore, who coached the Mustangs from 1986-2008.

As a junior in 2005, Moore led Prosser to the Class 3A state championship game where the Mustangs fell to a
Ferndale squad quarterbacked by future NFL first-round pick
Jake Locker.
While at Prosser, Moore broke state records with 11,367 passing yards and 173 touchdowns. One of his top targets was his younger brother by two years, Kirby Moore, who hauled in 29 touchdowns as a freshman and sophomore. Kirby is now the offensive coordinator at Missouri.
Moore picked Boise State over Eastern Washington and Idaho and became a Heisman finalist. In 2009 he led the Broncos to a Fiesta Bowl victory over No. 3 TCU.
From 2012-17, Moore spent time in the NFL with the Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys, throwing for 779 yards.
Moore immediately began coaching with the Cowboys, first as quarterbacks coach in 2018 followed by a four-year run as offensive coordinator. In 2023, he was the Chargers offensive coordinator before the Eagles hired him for the same position in 2024.
