The McNair Mustangs's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their 19th straight loss. They were beaten by Eagle's Landing Christian Academy 76-39. McNair was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-18.
Despite the defeat, McNair had strong showings from Kamar Gooden, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds, and Malik Jackson, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Jayden Bone was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points along with eight rebounds and two steals for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Blain, who scored ten points along with four steals.
McNair dropped their record down to 1-23 with that loss, which was their 11th straight on the road. As for Eagle's Landing Christian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season.
McNair didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 68-64 loss vs. Elite Scholars Academy on the 6th. Eagle's Landing Christian Academy has also already played their next match, a 69-54 victory against Towers on the 6th.
