The Elba Lancers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their third straight loss. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 54-34 walloping at the hands of Wheatland-Chili. Elba has struggled against the Wildcats recently, as their game on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Leighton Williams, who scored 24 points for Wheatland-Chili. The team also got some help courtesy of Louden Thrush, who scored nine points.
Elba's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Wheatland-Chili, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season.
Elba will head out on the road to square off against the Fighting Irish at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheatland-Chili, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Hopefully Medina focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday.
