The Lake Charles College Prep Trailblazers waltzed into their match on Tuesday with nine straight wins but they left with ten. They came out on top against St. Louis Catholic by a score of 63-50. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lake Charles College Prep also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Lake Charles College Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Elijah Garrick out in front who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dre Polidore, who scored 16 points.
Lake Charles College Prep is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 matches, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season. As for St. Louis Catholic, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 15-8.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Iowa the next time they take the court. Lake Charles College Prep will head out to face the Yellowjackets at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while the Saints will host them at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
