EL CAJON, Calif. - the Patriots scored 28 points in the second quarter to secure a big 49-0 victory over Clairemont (San Diego, Calif.) on Saturday.
Christian scored on a touchdown run by
Zane Coffman, a
Paris Miller touchdown run, a touchdown pass by
Michael Carrillo to
Kai Arvan and a Carrillo touchdown pass to
Nick Sexton in the quarter.
After taking the lead on a Miller touchdown run in the first quarter, the El Cajon school was up 42-0 at the half.
The Patriots grew their lead to 49 points entering the fourth quarter. Christian's lone score in the quarter came on a
Joey Morones touchdown run.
Carrillo stood out for the El Cajon school in the win. The senior quarterback threw three touchdowns.
The Patriots had given up an average of 10.1 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Chieftains ended with were well below their average of 17.9 coming into the game.
The loss comes after Clairemont defeated Coronado 7-6 last week.
