After a string of four wins, the Regina Dominican Panthers's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They took a 38-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Taft. Regina Dominican lost against Taft in their previous head to head back in December of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 43-41 score last time.
Natalia Cerrado and Anna O'Connor certainly did their best on Monday to try and avoid the loss. Cerrado scored 6 points along with 5 rebounds, while O'Connor scored 3 points.
Regina Dominican's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Taft, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Regina Dominican will square off against Resurrection at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Taft, they will head out on the road to face off against Payton College Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
