Foothill and Lincoln are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2015, but not for long. The Foothill Mustangs will be playing at home against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Foothill sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-49 victory over Leroy Greene Academy. Given Foothill's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 445th, while Leroy Greene Academy is ranked 1016th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Arley Lopez was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cliff Currie, who scored 8 points.
Meanwhile, Lincoln really took it to Carson for the full four quarters, racking up a 67-28 win on the road. With Lincoln ahead 40-17 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Foothill now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Lincoln, they now also have a winning record of 3-2.
