When it comes to explaining why Oasis lost, one person who can't be blamed is Brendan Overbaugh. Despite the final result, he scored 23 points along with six steals and five rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for Overbaugh. Another player making a difference was Zach Louzao, who scored 13 points.
East Lee County's victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-4. As for Oasis, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.
East Lee County will head out on the road to face off against First Baptist Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. First Baptist Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than East Lee County in Florida (First Baptist Academy is ranked 76th, while East Lee County is ranked 591st).
