The Thomas Jefferson Spartans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Kennedy for the full four quarters, racking up a 105-61 victory at home. With Thomas Jefferson ahead 59-33 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for William Perkins, who went 8 for 15 from beyond the arc en route to 41 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jake Scobey, who scored 13 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Despite the defeat, Kennedy saw an underclassman step up: Anthony Zink scored 30 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Agosto, who scored six points.
Thomas Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Kennedy, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson will face off against Denver East at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Colorado (Denver East is ranked 74th, while Thomas Jefferson is ranked 67th). As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to challenge Alameda at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
