The St. Paul Cardinals's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Goliad Tigers at 2:30 p.m. on December 28th. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
On December 1st, St. Paul took a serious blow against Flatonia, falling 68-33. While losing is never fun, St. Paul can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1226th, while Flatonia is ranked 290th).
Meanwhile, Goliad's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 47-23 loss at the hands of Incarnate Word Academy.
St. Paul's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Goliad, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season.
St. Paul didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Goliad when the teams last played back in December of 2021, but they still walked away with a 39-33 victory.
