When it comes to explaining why Avon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hanelie Cadet. Despite the final result, she scored 19 points. That was a full 86.4% of Avon's points, marking the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Westport's victory was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-0. As for Avon, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
