The Hillsboro Burros had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 35.5 points), and they went ahead and made it seven on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat McGavock 62-17 on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 30-9.
Among those leading the charge was Ragan Starks, who scored 16 points. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 15 or more in the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Shinae Johnson, who scored ten points.
Hillsboro pushed their record up to 10-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for McGavock, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.
Hillsboro will take on Cane Ridge at 6:00 a.m. on Thursday. Cane Ridge is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for McGavock, they will head out on the road to face off against Overton at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Overton is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
