The Wabasha-Kellogg Falcons lost against the Chatfield Gophers back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Wabasha-Kellogg had to suffer through a rough 69-38 loss at the hands of Chatfield. Wabasha-Kellogg has not had much luck with Chatfield recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ileana DeAngel, who scored 21 points along with eight rebounds. The contest was DeAngel's third in a row with at least ten points. Brielle Adams was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with six rebounds.
Wabasha-Kellogg bumped their record down to 1-4 with that loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Chatfield, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.
Wabasha-Kellogg will head out on the road to face off against Lewiston-Altura at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lewiston-Altura and Wabasha-Kellogg are at an even 4-4 over their past eight head-to-heads. Chatfield will be home for the holidays to greet St. Charles at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. St. Charles will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Minnesota Rankings (they are ranked 344th, while Chatfield is ranked 147th).
