This season hasn't been kind to the Berean Baptist Academy Bulldogs, who are still winless after their 12th match. They were dealt a 58-17 loss at the hands of Freedom Christian Academy on Thursday. Berean Baptist Academy has not had much luck with the Patriots recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Freedom Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Lett, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 17 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Lett has scored at least a third of Freedom Christian Academy's points. Another player making a difference was Izzie Dalton-Jimenez, who scored 18 points.
Berean Baptist Academy dropped their record down to 0-12 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.1 points per game. As for Freedom Christian Academy, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-4.
Coincidentally, Berean Baptist Academy and the Patriots will both be playing the Crusaders the next time they take the court. Berean Baptist Academy will host the Crusaders on Friday, while the Patriots will host them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
