The Southside Tigers lost against the Fountain Inn Fury back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Southside fell 62-50 to Fountain Inn.
Despite the defeat, Southside had strong showings from Jaden Johnson, who scored 24 points, and Angerrelle Gomes-Ramsey, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 12 rebounds. Gomes-Ramsey has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Quintevius Gambrell, who scored five points along with two steals.
Southside has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-15 record this season. As for Fountain Inn, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 16-10.
Southside will be playing in front of their home fans against Wren at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Wren has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 904 points over their last 12 matchups. Fountain Inn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
