The Tift County Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They managed a 69-65 win over Veterans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Tift County.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tift County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristan Boone, who almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. It was the first time this season that Boone pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was TeShawn Bryant, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Despite the loss, Veterans still got an impressive performance from Antonio ??tone?? scott, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. Tristen Abner was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.
Tift County now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Veterans, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-8 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tift County will take on the Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Northside's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last four matches. As for Veterans, they will stay at home for another game and welcome the Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Thomas County Central will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 275th, while the Warhawks are ranked 122nd).
