The Regents Lions had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 21.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 51-38 victory over Blue Ridge Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Regents, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Regents got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Keppel out in front who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds. Keppel set a new season high mark in points with 13. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Morales, who scored 17 points.
Regents pushed their record up to 3-1 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.0 points per game. As for Blue Ridge Christian, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-2.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Regents will take on Redeemer Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Blue Ridge Christian, they will play host again and welcome United Christian Academy, where tip off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
