The Sullivan East Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Anderson County Mavericks at 6:55 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Sullivan East's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last three matches.
Sullivan East pushed their score all the way to 41 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 54-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Northview Academy.
Sullivan East's defeat came about despite a quality game from Drake Fisher, who threw for 451 yards and six touchdowns. Fisher is on a roll when it comes to passing yards, as he's now passed for 300 or more in the last three games he's played. Tyler Cross did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 86 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Anderson County put the finishing touches on their fifth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by South-Doyle at home to the tune of 56-16. Anderson County pushed the score to 42-10 by the end of the third, a deficit South-Doyle had no chance of recovering from.
Northview Academy's victory bumped their season record to 7-3 while Sullivan East's defeat dropped theirs to 6-4.
