The Palisades Pirates''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a serious blow against Catasauqua, falling 42-7. Palisades was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 27-0.
Leading Catasauqua to victory were Jyzaiah Bonilla and Aiden Hess. Bonilla rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on only 11 carries, while Hess rushed for 51 yards and a touchdown. Dylan Pacheco also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Palisades has fallen quite a ways from their 8-3 record last season and are now at 2-7. As for Catasauqua, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Palisades will look to defend their home field on Friday against Saucon Valley at 7:00 p.m. Saucon Valley is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for Catasauqua, they will head out on the road to face off against Salisbury Township at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Salisbury Township comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
