West Lincoln is 3-0 against Mississippi School for the Deaf since December of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The West Lincoln Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Mississippi School for the Deaf Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for West Lincoln and eight for Mississippi School for the Deaf.
Last Friday, things could have been worse for West Lincoln, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 49-31 loss to Puckett. While losing is never fun, West Lincoln can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Mississippi basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Puckett is ranked 119th).
Meanwhile, Mississippi School for the Deaf had to suffer through a rough 62-25 loss at the hands of Stringer.
Despite the loss, Mississippi School for the Deaf got a solid performance out of Christian Carrawell, who scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Damarion English, who scored seven points.
West Lincoln bumped their record down to 3-7 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Mississippi School for the Deaf, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.
Everything came up roses for West Lincoln against Mississippi School for the Deaf in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 as the squad secured a 61-20 win. With West Lincoln ahead 35-10 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
