Purvis escaped with a win on Thursday against Forrest County Agricultural by the margin of a single free throw, 38-37. That's two games straight that Purvis has won by exactly a single point.
Purvis got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Breleigh Adkins out in front who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Zoey Robinson was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds and two blocks.
Purvis has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-16.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Purvis won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Columbia at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Columbia is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
