Make it 15 blowout wins for the Pocola Indians this season. They claimed a resounding 73-29 victory over Talihina on the road. Pocola's win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.
Sam Bryant and Isaiah Lloyd certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Bryant scored four points, while Lloyd scored eight points.
Pocola pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 27.5 points. As for Talihina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season.
Pocola will look to defend their home court on Friday against the Miners at 7:30 p.m. Hartshorne will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Oklahoma Rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Indians are ranked sixth). As for Talihina, they will head out on the road to take on the Wolves at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Heavener focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Friday.
