On Wednesday, the Roosevelt Roughriders faced the Bell Griffins in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Roosevelt claimed a resounding 62-13 victory over Bell at home. Roosevelt's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Lamar'sha Wilson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with seven rebounds and six steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Roosevelt's points. Another player making a difference was Simmons Evony'e, who scored nine points along with six rebounds and five steals.
Roosevelt now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bell, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will challenge Wise at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bell, they will head out on the road to face off against Banneker at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
