After two games on the road, Wisner-Pilger is heading back home. They will take on the Laurel-Concord-Coleridge Bears at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Wisner-Pilger lost to Clarkson/Leigh on the road by a decisive 60-43 margin.
Meanwhile, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 57-33 loss at the hands of Lutheran-Northeast. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Laurel-Concord-Coleridge has scored all season.
Carter Kvols put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Hansen, who scored four points along with six blocks.
Wisner-Pilger's loss was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-17. As for Laurel-Concord-Coleridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-10 record this season.
Wisner-Pilger might still be hurting after the 82-61 loss they got from Laurel-Concord-Coleridge in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. Thankfully for Wisner-Pilger, Jake Rath (who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
