After losing to the Enfield Eagles the last time they met, the East Hartford Hornets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. East Hartford walked away with a 58-46 win over Enfield on Thursday.
East Hartford's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nia Edens led the charge by scoring 15 points along with four steals. Chanel Ward was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with five steals.
The victory got East Hartford back to even at 5-5. As for Enfield, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. East Hartford will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Bloomfield at 1:00 p.m. on January 15th. Bloomfield is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Enfield won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Manchester at 5:15 p.m. on January 12th. Manchester is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 58 points per game.
