Mourning is 0-7 against North Miami Beach since November of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Mourning Sharks will be playing in front of their home fans against the North Miami Beach Chargers at 3:30 p.m. Both teams have allowed few points on average, (Mourning: 24.5, North Miami Beach: 27.6) so any points scored will be well earned.
Mourning entered their tilt with Hialeah Gardens with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Mourning came out on top against Hialeah Gardens by a score of 33-20 on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, North Miami Beach ended up a good deal behind North Miami on Thursday and lost 41-22.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Vanejia Bryant, who scored seven points along with three steals. Bryant is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Laila Henderson, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Mourning has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for North Miami Beach, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-4.
Mourning came up short against North Miami Beach when the teams last played back in November of 2022, falling 22-12. Can Mourning avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
