The Caney Creek Panthers can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They strolled past Cleveland with points to spare, taking the game 55-38. The victory was just what Caney Creek needed coming off of a 68-40 loss in their prior game.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Caney Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Yeiry Zamudio, who scored 10 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Madelin Bastidas-Jara, who scored 9 points.
Caney Creek pushed their record up to 3-12 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Cleveland, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-11.
Caney Creek will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against College Park at 6:30 p.m. Hopefully College Park focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday. As for Cleveland, they will head out on the road to face off against Willis at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Willis is ranked 1378th, while Cleveland is ranked 1364th).
