It was a good run, but the East Lawrence Eagles unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 63-52 to Lawrence County. East Lawrence lost against Lawrence County in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 77-62 score last time.
Lawrence County got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Braylon Dame out in front who scored 22 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Dame has scored at least 25% of Lawrence County's points. Kaiden Wear was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals.
East Lawrence's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Lawrence County, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
East Lawrence will stay at home for another game and welcome West Limestone at 7:15 p.m. on December 12th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (West Limestone is ranked 205th, while East Lawrence is ranked 215th). As for Lawrence County, they will head out on the road to face off against West Point at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
