The home team had won the previous six meetings between Rialto and San Gorgonio, and San Gorgonio kept the tradition alive. The Knights fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 3-2 on Thursday. The Knights' loss signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.

While Rialto ultimately came up short, they really made San Gorgonio work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 13-25, 26-24, 24-26, 25-20, 15-4.

Rialto's defeat dropped their record down to 14-5. As for San Gorgonio, they pushed their record up to 15-7 with the victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Rialto will take on Norco at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for San Gorgonio, they will challenge Summit at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
