Even though the Montgomery Tigers have not done well against the St. Mary Tigers recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Montgomery slipped by St. Mary 50-49. The win was familiar territory for Montgomery who now have five in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Montgomery to victory, but perhaps none more so than A Manson, who scored 18 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. The contest was Manson's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of D. Moore, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Montgomery's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-5. As for St. Mary, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Montgomery will be playing in front of their home fans against Dodson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
