The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sports Leadership & Management in their matchups with the Lions: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Sports Leadership & Management still got an impressive performance from Dennis Pierre, who scored 35 points. Pierre has been hot recently, having posted 16 or more points the last 13 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Plewinski, who scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Nick Achille continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Somerset Academy Key, dropping a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. It was the first time this season that Achille pulled down eight or more rebounds. Anthony Thomas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Sports Leadership & Management has not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Somerset Academy Key, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-13.
