The Vineland Fighting Clan had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Eastern and snuck past 21-19. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Vineland also won the last time the pair played back in October of 2022.
Tyrell Powell was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 80 yards, and also threw for 95 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes.
Vineland's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Eastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-8.
Vineland will be playing at home against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Edison is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak. Eastern does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
