Sacramento Country Day suffered a tough 71-48 loss at the hands of the Capitals. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Sacramento Country Day in their matchups with the Capitals: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Sacramento Country Day saw an underclassman step up: Ryan Scripps scored 11 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds. Scripps hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Ekram Thiarra was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Sacramento Country Day dropped their record down to 8-10 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Sacramento Adventist, their victory bumped their record up to 8-17.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Sacramento Country Day will take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. John Adams Academy has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests. As for Sacramento Adventist, they and the Mavericks will face off at 7:15 p.m. on February 5th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday.
