Borger is 8-1-1 against Dumas since March of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Borger Bulldogs will look to defend their home pitch against the Dumas Demons at 7:00 p.m. Borger's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
For the first time since back in January, Borger was forced to settle for a draw on Tuesday. They and Pampa finished up their match with a 3-3 draw. While a more conclusive result would've been nice, Borger got plenty of practice considering the match was the highest-scoring draw the team's played all season.
They avoided a loss thanks to
Adan Cardenas and
Ulises Castaneda, who posted all three of Borger's goals. The pair have combined for a total of 11 so far this season.
Meanwhile, Dumas had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals), and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged Perryton out 2-1.
With that draw, Borger's record moves to 3-6-4. As for Dumas, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4-2 record this season.
Borger took their win against Dumas in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 3-0. Will Borger repeat their success, or does Dumas have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
