While losing is never fun, Guajome Park Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1259th, while Tri-City Christian is ranked 569th).
San Diego Jewish Academy posted their biggest win since December 7, 2023 on Thursday. They blew past Escondido Adventist Academy 75-38 on the road.
San Diego Jewish Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jacob Rissman, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rissman has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ethan Abeles, who scored 21 points along with four steals.
Guajome Park Academy bumped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight at home. As for San Diego Jewish Academy, their win bumped their record up to 8-9.
Guajome Park Academy came up short against San Diego Jewish Academy in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, falling 52-41. Can Guajome Park Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
