The Manual Rams had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Mt. Vernon.
When it comes to explaining why Mt. Vernon lost, one person who can't be blamed is Navontae D nesbit jr.. Despite the final result, he scored 22 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marlin Price, who scored eight points.
Manual has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-10 record this season. As for Mt. Vernon, their loss dropped their record down to 20-8.
