The St. John Lutheran Saints can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 48-18 victory over Santa Fe Catholic at home.
St. John Lutheran got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Kayla joy Bowen out in front who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Bowen has scored at least 25% of St. John Lutheran's points. Another player making a difference was Arisa Ford, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds.
St. John Lutheran's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they bumped their record down to 1-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
St. John Lutheran will square off against First Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Santa Fe Catholic, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Ridge Community at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Ridge Community is ranked 364th, while Santa Fe Catholic is ranked 374th).
