Snohomish has gone a perfect 9-0 against Stanwood recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Panthers will face off against the Spartans at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a six-game winning streak alive.
Snohomish's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over Marysville Getchell. Considering the Panthers have won eight matches by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Abby Edwards, who gave up just three hits and racked up 14 Ks to keep Marysville Getchell off the board. Edwards has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hannah Siegler, who got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Taylor Ward also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.
Snohomish always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .529. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Marysville Getchell only posted an OBP of .179.
Meanwhile, Stanwood hadn't done well against Everett recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Spartans came out on top against the Seagulls by a score of 3-0.
The result came thanks to Addison Anderson's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 14 Ks.
At the plate, Reagan Ryan was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run.
Stanwood's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-2. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Snohomish, their record now sits at 13-5.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Snohomish has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 10.9 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Stanwood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Snohomish took their victory against Stanwood when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 10-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
