Kelly Walsh has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They and the Star Valley Braves will face off at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Kelly Walsh has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
Even though Green River scored an imposing 56 points on Saturday, Kelly Walsh still came out on top. Kelly Walsh walked away with a 64-56 victory over the Wolves.
Kelly Walsh's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mason Eager, who scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eager has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jack Nicholls, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Star Valley entered their tilt with the Wolverines with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Star Valley sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the Wolverines on Saturday.
Kelly Walsh's victory bumped their record up to 7-9. As for Star Valley, they pushed their record up to 12-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road.
Kelly Walsh came up short against the Braves in their previous meeting back in March of 2023, falling 57-46. Thankfully for Kelly Walsh, Jacob Hodges (who scored 19 points along with five rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
