Chelmsford has gone 6-1 against Central Catholic recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Lions will host the Raiders at 5:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chelmsford has eight straight wins, Central Catholic has five straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
On Tuesday, Chelmsford made easy work of Westford Academy and carried off a 3-0 victory.
Chelmsford walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). The final score came out to 25-18, 25-18, 25-14.

Chelmsford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Ryan Heng out in front who had ten digs and two assists. Heng has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last four times he's played. Jayden Som was another key player, getting ten digs and one assist.
Chelmsford was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted in their last six matches.
Meanwhile, Central Catholic didn't have quite enough to beat Dracut on Monday and fell 3-2. While the Raiders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Middies 25-19 in the first set.
While Central Catholic ultimately came up short, they really made Dracut work, particularly in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 26-24, 25-15, 22-25, 15-5.
Chelmsford's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-3. As for Central Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 2-15.
Everything went Chelmsford's way against Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Chelmsford made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Lions have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Raiders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
