Greene Central gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They blew past the North Lenoir Hawks 55-0. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Rams also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Greene Central's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dejuan Cobb, who rushed for 130 yards and one score on only five carries. Cobb got the majority of those rushing yards when he took off on a run that went for an incredible 66 yards. Sam Avent also helped with three TDs in total.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greene Central will venture away from home to take on Goldsboro at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for North Lenoir, they will head out to challenge South Lenoir at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
