North Thurston hasn't had much luck against Timberline recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. The Rams will take on the Blazers at 4:00 p.m. North Thurston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.1 runs per game this season.
On Monday, North Thurston came up short against Peninsula and fell 9-6.
Isabella Haagen was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Guyer, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Timberline, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They never let Capital get on the board and left with a 21-0 victory on Monday. Considering the Blazers have won 12 matchups by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Porsha Miller made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
In other batting news, Nevaeh Haagen was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-3. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kayleese Dorfner, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.
Timberline lost a few balls and finished the game with four home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Timberline has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-3-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.6 runs over those games. As for North Thurston, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-6.
Wednesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. North Thurston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Timberline struggles in that department as they've averaged .543. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
North Thurston suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Timberline in their previous meeting back in March. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
